About Umsum Chocolates

Based in Forresters Beach of NSW, Umsum Chocolates caters to the Central Coast, Newcastle and surrounds.

Umsum Chocolates is a small local business run by Ella – a chocolate enthusiast with an interest in extending ethical consumerism further into the chocolate world. She also loves to make chocolates the old fashioned way.

Since Ella makes the chocolates with fresh ingredients and minimal preservatives, the fresh delicacies of Umsum Chocolates are not sitting around waiting, but rather made to order. Check out the How to Order page or contact us if you have any questions.

At present, Umsum Chocolates’ milk and dark chocolates are made using cocoa from Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farms. Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farm operations meet comprehensive standards that protect the environment and promote the rights and well-being of workers, their families and communities.

Umsum Chocolates’ white chocolates are made using chocolate by Rapunzel Naturkost, whose cocoa products come from theirHAND IN HAND partners. This means that producers are guaranteed fair and supportive purchase prices and partnerships while products are farmed with the guarantee of employee welfare, humane working conditions, prohibition of child labour and transparency.
